Re: [BNW] Meta-Plot vs Static world

I think the point is.. not necessarily not to play BNW.. but rather to take
it your own direction. If in 2002 Alderac publishes a BNW books that
contradicts your ideas you've got two options.

1) Go with yours
2) Go with Alderac/ Matt's

Guess what people its that simple.

I've been playing Deadlands since day 1 (Yes I have one of those first run
print copies that fell apart, but hey its signed by Shane, Matt and Bruce
Campbell.. I've got to keep it :)

When Pinnacle finnally revealed their plans for the Deadlands universe (i.e.
sometime in the future it becomes a post-apocalyptic hellhole) I had to
decide if I was going to use this or not.

My DL games have always been a lil more occult than western (Jonas Hex of
sorts), so I felt the idea worked well... however if someone wanted to play
simple shoot from the hips, fist full of dollars kind of games... the "Hell
on Earth" meta-plot wouldn't work too well.

Where we go with our campaigns is ultimately up to us.
If two weeks from now Matt says "Delta powers come from an ancient entity
known as the Great Poofda" then so be it... just not sure if that's the
direction I'll go with it :)

Take it or leave it people, this thread is getting annoying to a lot of
people.
