As the previously-mentioned rules modifier, I pulled the armour entirely,
but also dumped the initiative penalty for the package. The two changes
cancel out, I think - plus, having fewer actions is just _boring_ for
players who can't do anything.
One of the PCs in my game is a Goliath; the group accept that he can soak up
damage, suffer some penalties, but still keep going. The NPC Tough they've
fought has been a lot harder to hurt by comparision, and they're all quite
wary of him.
