RE: [DL] has anybody done the martial artist or voodoist for d20?

Hey all,

In response to the Deadlands monk thing, I have not used this
since IMHO they are far too powerful to compare to another
DLD20 1st level character. Now I think there are a lot of
good base ideas with it, and if I seriously create them then
I will probably use a number of abilities from the monk.
However monks are AB's and as such should be limited by chi.
So that is my take on the DLd20 martial artist. Second about
Coup-de-Grace, There is one other way to do this in D20 and
it is the most important one to a posse. Gettin the drop on
another cowpoke instantly gives you an initiative roll vs.
them and if you win, they are eatin lead sandwiches. As many
of you know the game I run is more of a hybrid of the
original game plus d20. One of the ways I reflect this is
with head shots, which do extra damage and allow you to
critically hit a harrowed. That is my take on Killing blows.
Third about the Voodooist, I think that Voodoo is another
religion and is pretty much the same as other blessed, except
that you may want to write up some new gifts or DI's that
reflect voodoo powers. AS for spells, they should have access
to the same blessed spells, except they just look nasty with
all the blood and drugs. Not sure if Fred covers this in Way
o the Blessed, I dont think he did. The other alternative of
course is a new class, which I am not at all opposed to
seeing.

Have a happy Giving o' Thanks From your D20 pal,

Marshal Kevin Stoner
