And a damn fine book it is, ladies and gentlemen. Although I haven't
written the review I have planned, let me give you the brief rundown here:

1) The sourcebook includes the full text of H. G. Wells' novel, so your
purchase includes one of the sources for all of modern/contemporary
Sci-Fi. The text/sourcebook ratio is 73/38 pages.

2) The game material is well researched and soundly done. Although there
are a handful of small differences in interpretation I have with what
Christopher and his compatriots have done, I also found some of my own
interpretations corrected (Note: This comes from someone who has taught the
book at the college level three or four times now.).

3) The relative ease of the Action system lends itself to relatively easy
conversion. If you aren't familiar with the Action! system, there's the
D20 system, allowing for a quick port into Deadlands.

4) The illustrations, although fairly standard for the industry, are
absolutely dead on when it comes to capturing the look of the novel.

All in all, a good job for the page length and a bargain at the price.

Hope this helps. Sorry for the cross posting to those on both lists.
