Depends on the setting. We tried SW and loved it. I wouldn't convert DL to 
the Savage World rules, but SW is, IMHO, a great and fun game.
Oh, and I think that the "simplified" rules are a great improvement in role 
playing ;-))
But, of course, YMMV (HA! just used that for the first time!)
