The word means "revelation,"
All my life, when I would hear the word "Apocalypse", I would think
"end of the world". It wasn't until recently (of all things, I learned
this from the movie The Fallen--the only good thing about the movie!)
that I learned "Apocalypse" meant "Revelation".
Of course, remember that "witch" was used for "a poisoner". Just goes
to show the evolution (or devolution?) of the English language...
