I am up for a little pyr love short story this morning. We had a super bowl 
party with about 30 people there and served Mexican buffet. This was Allie's 
first party and  she was afraid of the first few people who came in (ran 
into back yard wagging her tail) but curiosity and attention got the best of 
her and she came in and made the rounds with Trudeau. After a few hours of 
basking in attention and poking their nose in people's food, etc. (don't 
people realize that if you sit on the floor to eat and there are dogs around 
they are going to be your best friend?) they both crashed on the kitchen 
floor, flat out--pretty much taking up as much room as possible, Nose to 
Nose, and let the guests walk over and around them.

At this same party I was in the bathroom getting a towel so had the door 
open and a guy comes in, he is sweating and all red and in a general state 
of agitation. When he saw me he said, I wasn't going to tell you but Allie 
went out the front door when I let someone in and I've been out there 
chasing after her because I knew I better not come back in this house 
without her. Which was a smart move on his part.
