Yes the girls were 8 yrs old but have you ever watched kids play?!  I don't
have girls but half of them (as well as the boys) end up in my or my
neighbors front yard and when they're playing hard--well they're shrieking
and physical and, like all kids, they occasionally lose all reasoning.  You
will occasionally see a child (who definately knows better) running into a
street to get a ball.  Kids (even responsible, obedient kids) sometimes just
forget what the right thing to do is and just get caught up in the moment.
You have to keep these things in mind when you have a house with children --
they're not little adults, they make mistakes, we just don't want them to be
"deadly" mistakes.
