RE: [PyrNet-L] Re: Pyr males

Although you will find those that report having multiple males living
quite peacefully in the same household, they are the EXCEPTION, not
the rule.

Most Pyrs will be male dog aggressive when it comes to other male dogs
that near their size.

Chosing to add another male pyr to your household is skirting with
danger. While they may get along initially, when the pup begins to
reach maturity, you will likely have problems including fights. Two
adult Pyrs fighting can be very scarey, and very dangerous.

Please give this decision some very careful consideration before you
proceed. If you do go ahead and get another male, be mindful for
signs of problems and stop them immediately. Another list member gave
some very good advice regarding feeding and giving of treats.
Following it will not only benefit your dogs, but your own safety.
