Re: [PyrNet-L] the Barkster

Hi Stephanie,
Is Paddy barking all the time or just long periods of time? Is it a frantic bark
(like something is really wrong) or a bored bark (woof, woof, woof) or a sudden
bark (he hears or sees something)? I've had good luck with a squirt gun to break
the bored bark habit. On the other hand, have also had dogs all of a suden start
barking because of pain. We once had all of our dogs go through unexplained
barking spells in the middle of the night. After this had been going on for many
months, the doorbell rang in the middle of the night. It was our neighbor who
came for help because her husband was beating her again! (and our dogs hated the
husband and loved the wife....we could never understand why until that night).
Since then, I always pay attention to my Pyrs' barking.
