Hi Cindy, I am from Indiana, I show in Ind. Ten. Ohio, Ky. and Iowa.
My Kim is 27in and weighs 92lbs, Ember is 26in and weighs 79lbs, Conner is
28in and weighs 102 and Egan is 29in and weighs 126. These are the ones we
have weighed at the vets here lately on a digital scale. In the shows we go
to Egan is usually the biggest male most of the time and Kim is usually the
biggest female. In this area we seem to have smaller dogs. Ember on the other
hand is usually the smallest but her build matches her height she is also my
best obedience dog. I think this is because she is smaller and can move a bit
quicker. She is very bouncy and hyper which is unusual with the rest of my
Pyr's. Everyone at training says they think there is a Border Collie zipped
up in there somewhere. I think she may have just swallowed one LOL. Everyone
remarks that she is small for a Pyr but I like her that way. Egan is good
size though so when I breed them someday I think the puppies will be about
right. I have never seen a Pyr that was 30 to 32 inches yet, I am still
waiting. Its not that I don't believe that they get that big so I am not
starting an argument here I just haven't had the chance to see one yet. I
would love to see one that size although I am not real tall and like the
smaller Pyr's. I also prefer to ride smaller horses around 15 hands and a lot
of people think the bigger the better. I love the list and enjoy reading it
everyday and it seems like I learn something everyday............Debbie and
the Pyr gang.
