Re: [pyrnet] Pico meets the Atlantic Ocean

Elaine, back when we were allowed to take dogs on the beach here,
we used to take our GSD who had skin problems. Did wonders for
him! Salt water is an excellent healer. Anyway, I doubt being in
the water will hurt him, drinking it? Well, just depends on the
dog, I guess. We had one that used to get major diarrhea from
drinking from the Atlantic and that was 30 years ago when it was
really clean. Another one had no problems at all from drinking
it. Might want to keep an eye on Pico though, and watch for any
early signs. Sounds like you had a blast, both of you! We live
less than a mile from the Atlantic and can't take the dogs on the
boardwalk or the beach. <S> All the fault of irresponsible dog
owners not cleaning up after their pets. But then, if enough of
us braved, and paid, the $200.00 fine for having a dog there,
perhaps it would help keep the Bennies away? (not the cute
stuffed kind, the ones that come down from NYC and trash our
town) And yes, I know that some Bennies are really nice folk,
however, the majority of them are slobs who throw their garbage
around here just like they do up there.
