Re: [pyrnet] New subscriber

Hi folks, my name is Carl and I'm a newbie at this, so I'll keep it short.
Two months ago, Staave, my significant other and I went to the dog pound
here in Calgary to save a dog.
We were looking in the adoption area and this white paw was shoved out of
the cage in front of her. SOLD!!!!!
This bitch was badly abused and finally shot three times by the time we
first saw her.
So now she's spayed, healed from her wounds and clean.
Really a loveable pooch.
Since we can't get any information on her past because of criminal
proceedings against the original owner, we both being former dog owners for
40 + years are using our past experience to get Bingy (real name Chyna)
settled in, so to speak.
So far we have her weight up to 80 lbs. or so and I'm still working on
taking her for a daily walk as well as staying out on the veranda with her
late at night to get her to do her evacuation before she comes in for the
night.
Every day seems to be a new experience with Bingy,
All her habits are subject to change without notice.
She's still terrified of cars and I don't know how to help her overcome
that.
Any ideas would be welcome.
Kindest regards to you all
Carl St. Laurent
