Sounds as if you have Pyr personality in Gulliver. My male Pyr
has never played with toys, not even as a puppy. Just wanted
nothing to do with them. When I had my litters, they were given
safe squeaky toys to play with from the time they were about 5
weeks old. My girl that I kept from the first litter still loves
squeaky toys as do most of her siblings. Her mother, although a
kennel dog for the first 5 1/2 years of her life, played with
toys also. I doubt she had ever even seen a toy before she came
to us. So, I think early exposure to toys plays a role, but it's
also their personality as to whether they like toys or not. My
Pyrs also HATE water. Will have nothing to do with it, other than
the drinking of it and an occasional bath.
