Elaine, appreciated your point about the concerns even with a halti.  I
like the theory of the Halti, but I could also see the problems that
could go along with it as well.  Leading a horse by the head gives more
control over a 1,000 lb. animal, but the horse is still handled more by
training than what you do with the halter.  Someone with an ill temper
could do a lot of harm reefing a dogs head around, in a temper tantrum. 
Unfortunately I can imagine a lot of people doing just that.  Like
everything else, one has to use it correctly.  Cindy
