Re: [pyrnet] dwarfs

In regards to the dwarf in NZ. This could be a dwarf but it may not be. I
have housed dwarfs for the AMCA. The last dwarf male did not show the
deformities of the front limbs until much later in life. The physical
deformities of the front legs vary from animal to animal. One of the first
males I housed had what appeared to be a normal(on x-ray it was not) front
leg and a vary deformed front leg. The dwarfs I housed were very healthy and
lived to good age. A sure way would be to x-ray the front legs and have a
them sent to a qualified radiologist like Dr Sande or Meg Smart. If you want
the names of ones accepted by the AMCA I can get them. I have used Dr Sande
or Dr Smart when I was having puppies done. If you want more information you
can e-mail me privately.
