As Cindy and I have already said, pyrs bark to keep airplanes and helicopters from landing in the yard. Others have said they bark at falling leaves and the wind. Or that they bark to generate a breeze. On a golden retriever we site, I saw another reason that dogs bark.....to make sure that squirrels and birds stay up in those trees! ha ha.
