It perhaps is not common, but dogs with a lot of hair (and
Pyrs qualify) get hairballs, same as cats. This is something to
consider, since your say he has done this before several times.
I wouldn't be too concerned about the color, that could come from
anything else he may have eaten but, the foamy
part sounds like stomach reaction.
Sure, hope he feels better tomorrow.
I had to give a dog something for a sick stomach, and I always use
Kaopectate, because of the way it works. It is based on an old Indian
remedy. Settlers thought Indians ate dirt. In fact they were eating
the clay called Kaolin(sp?)
for sick stomach. It sticks to the stomach walls,it soaks up germs or
acids and then flakes off and takes them with it. It is not
constipating(has a slight oil base) and is easy to take.
No side effects, that I ever heard or read about. It is much more
effective than Pepto or those other brands. I use it if I need to and
give it to my coats, cats and once, even to a chicken. It is not a
laxative. And it is more economical than a vet. Of course, that is
for you to decide
.
Sleep well, and don't worry too much.
