I'll sure back Joe here.  I have several pups that are six months old today.
they are very tall and very long legged and have "short" coats, or as I said
to a fellow Pyr person "no coat".  I am always sort of amazed at puppies
that can be shown at 6 months and are all pretty and fluffy.  Mine always
look like labradors <g>  These pups have a European bred sire and perhaps
that has something to do with it, but his adult coat is lovely as is the
dam's coat.  And the dam's brother, at 5 years old has a huge coat.  I think
that you should enjoy this nice short coat.  Soon enough it will end :-))
