We've just found this to be so true. When we lost Shelley four years ago,
then Paddington last May, we needed another pyr not only for ourselves but
for the one that was left behind. We still grieve those two glorious
companions who were so sociable, who exuded all the wonderful qualities we
love best in this breed. But Ivy Rose and Tori, our shy girls who love us
and each other but would just as soon never enounter anyone else, have in
their vulnerability found their own special places in our hearts. They
never replaced their predecessors, nor would we have wanted them to, but
they have been heart-healers in their own right.
