Wonder how we could get more info and photos on the ones without titles?  I
only know our guys' 4 + generation peds and then bits and pieces back to the
"Unknowns" in France mainly thanks to our Breeders, along with Patricia
Fieldhouse in England and Joe's site....learning more now from PMDCGB site.

Barry Denyer is providing a great service to Pyrs world wide.  Initially his info was riddled with wrong information, but Barry, without ego attached, has worked hard to correct and verify info.  Some still remains, but anyone who does this type thing knows it is never finished or 100% correct.  Just too much wrong information published in the first place and there are some major differences in names and info from book to book even in Mrs. Cranes work.  Since Barry's work is part of the PMD Club, it is sponsered by them.

For info without titles you need the AKC stud book complete.  Our Titleholders books are a fabilous achievement not seen anywhere else in the breed that I am aware.  Judy Brown has down tremendous service to the breed with the Titleholders.  Lately much of it is being done by Mary Beth Vaudrin.  In the past the late Jeannie Smith did tremendous pedigree research for the original complicaiton of the Titleholders.  AT one time I was aware the Maryann Feller had (was working on)  the complete AKC Stud Book entered in a computer data base.  I am assuming that has continued and would be the largest data base in existence.  One area that needs attention is Canada.  Not aware of anyone up there doing things like this and with our dogs going back and forth, one can run into road blocks there.  If anyone knows someone doing serious work there, I would like to know.

My data base is in CompuPed and is over 12,000 dogs.  I donated the starter file to CompuPed when it was only about 6000 dogs that they now sell.  Not sure how CompuPed is doing under their new Management, but the program written by the late Larry Ritter was the best I have ever seen in the breed and people like Dr. Jerold Bell, DVM, a genetics and breeding expert agree and use it in their work and teaching.

If you or anyone is interested in doing some work in this area, contact me privately.
