I would definitely agree with Linda here.

If costs are not a huge issue, I would get an ultrasound done in an
effort to determine the cause of the murmur. If it is something minor,
nothing may need to be done. In the case of something more serious,
there have been tremendous advances in drug therapies in recent years,
and these newer drugs can add years to a dog's life. In some cases, they
may allow the dog to live to a normal lifespan.
