[pyrnet] Snowballs between their feet

I have had dogs for many years, most of which suffered in the winter
with snowballs in between their toes. Claude is my first pyr, and I was
amazed the he never had snowballs between his toes. When he came in
after walking or playing in the snow, he had a bunch of snowballs
sitting on top of his feet, and on closer inspection I noticed that he
didn't have any snowballs in between his toes. It really looks like
these snowballs wiggle their way up between his toes and stay on top of
his feet. I kind of thought that this was due to the fact that he is a
mountain dog, and thought that maybe all pyrs must have this. Now, I
read that this is not. I do keep the hair between his toes trimmed, but
I did this to my other dogs too. Does anyone else have this kind of
experience too? When Claude walks through the snow, his feet spread
out, which is why I believe the snowballs have room to move up between
his toes. He looks funny coming inside with these tiny 'pompoms'
sitting on top of his feet.
