[pyrnet] One more at the bridge...

On Saturday we had to let our little Ivy Rose join Paddington and her
momma Chele at the Bridge. She had been so perky right through her
radiation treatments, and her ultrasound was clear just 6 weeks ago, but
Friday evening she started to show the same symptoms she had in December:
stopped eating, and just generally looked miserable. We took her in and
they admitted her, did x-rays and ultrasound and found that the cancer had
returned--several tumors and significant organ involvement. We brought her
home for a few hours Saturday to say goodbye, then took her in
mid-afternoon. She was such a gallant little gal--always shy but very
brave and protective of her "flock"--gave her heart slowly but completely.
Tori has spent a very sad couple of days, but today is playing with Blair
again. We are so grateful for Blair's presence--we all need her!
Few who met Ivy Rose ever saw the feisty, playful, strong-willed, loving,
bossy little bitch that we knew, but we miss her so much and will never
forget her.
