RE: [pyrnet] getting "fixed"...no advice??
I didn't respond because I think you just need to keep her confined inside
until the stitches are out and it didn't sound like that was the kind of
answer that you wanted. My vet is very strict about it. She insists that
they not be allowed outside except on a leash until the stitches are out.
She's a surgeon and doesn't like us messing up her good work <G>.
Seriously, both of my dogs were required to be kept confined until the
stitches were out, period. She did not want them to run, to get the
incision dirty, or to lick it.
I kept shirts on them to keep the stitches covered and used band-guard
(which tastes nasty) near (not on) the stitches if they were bothering
them, and they did bother them.
