Good information from Linda.  You have a lot of names needing pedigree data and possibly her suggestion about titleholders is a good place to start.  Looking on web sites, etc., is one of the worst places as pedigree study at its best is prone to errors.  In the hands of many out there it is absolutely insane.  Your misreading of a pedigree is only one example of the errors that can and do creep into the popular information at any one time.  It happens with us all from time to time, but one must know their sources.  AKC is another source but can be expensive, but someone must pay for this data to be kept.
