Re: [pyrnet] Tricuspid valve dysplasia

Amy,

I totally agree with Melissa. Your heart has been touched by this boy. That is obvious. If you have the financial means, (this sounds SO hard hearted but it's true) to care for him - then the answer is clear.

Shortly after Quanah came into my life I had a feeling that something was just not right. At the age of two he started showing serious signs of a neuromuscular disorder. I lost him at a young 3 yrs of age. Every test imaginable had been done. No reason was ever found. The diagnosis is still uncertain to this day. But I had the best Vet ever. My gratitude still goes out to him. He had searched far and wide for an answer and proper treatment.

What I want to say, is that - if Quanah had gone to another home. And if he had started showing signs of this disorder. The likely thing to have had happen would have been for them to put him down at that time.

I actually re mortgaged my farm to gain the funds needed for Quan. And I will NEVER regret it. I took early retirement to stay home with him. We had a wonderful year together, 24/7.  And when the time came, my friend and Quanah's, the one they call the Vet, drove all the way out here to ease him over to the other side.

I would do it again in a moment. No questions asked. I have learned more from that four legged being than I could EVER learn in a lifetime. He was my Blessing. And I still see him in the Clouds.

A day, A week. A month. A lifetime. Some things are just meant to be. And to be treasured. Always. Besides. Who's to say that this boy may not romping around ten or twelve years from now. Eh?

Be Well,

Jane and "Rainbow"
