Yes, but it's not as dramatic as something like Deadlands. You won't need to 
have played Weird War Two to enjoy the Crusades. You *might* see some 
reoccurring villains/creatures/relics, however.

The problem with a GRW style game is that the D20 rules are completely 
incompatible. You could certainly have two different games with no real 
crossover rules wise, but that might cause some serious inconsistencies.
