RE: [WW] Reference Sites

OK, folks, I think we have all harrassed Bob enough about getting to the
library. (Don't get me wrong here. Making time to go to the library is
good advice -- but those of us who teach and write know that too much of the
stick doesn't always work.).

Bob, let me ask you a couple questions that might help the list give you
some more useful advice:

1) What (besides gaming) are you usually interested in? The reason I ask is
that if we knew your personal interests, we might be able to give you a
direction to go that would interest you enough to keep your eye on a
documentary or book. For example, you mentioned you worked for an ISP. The
computer was "born" during WWII -- between the Enigma and Bletchly Park's
codebreakers. There are some documentaries on the History Channel that
focus on this.

2) What kind of game are you interested in running? Straight combat a la
the Battle of the Bulge or a more OSS (It grew up into the CIA) or Special
Forces type of game?

3) Do you have a period of history that you do know a lot about (Again, I'm
looking for connections to help you out -- not everyone is a history buff so
don't be ashamed to admit that you aren't.).

I hope these will eventually help. Take care.

Matt
