[DL] Pbem Excel Spreadsheet

Hi all

I've been considering setting up a pbem, however won't have the time until I
get a break from GMing our weekly sessions. Anyway last week I ended up
with a bit of time on my hands and so figured that I could do a bit of
preparation. From other people's comments, I've picked up that the action
deck could be a pain, so I decided to see what I could come up with. As a
result I have an Excel (97 version) spreadsheet that runs some macros, a
couple for the action deck and another for Huckster's casting hexes.

However a disclaimer: I'm not a programmer, I've never used Visual Basic
before never mind Excels application version and I seem to be missing most
of the help files for VBA.

On the plus side, it all seems to work ok despite my ineptitude and you can
deal from the deck, save the file and then continue from the same deck when
you come back to it any time later. On the negative side it's not that
pretty (and would look worse if not for the Deadlands font) and there aren't
endless failsafes (i.e. enter 0 cards for someone and it'll fall over)

In short, the Excel spreadsheet draws a maximum of 8 cards for up to 9
players and also allows hands for two hexes to be drawn and printed out.

Anyway, if wondered if anyone else would be interested, so if anyone would
like a copy email me privately at roy.ster@virgin.net and I'll send it on as
soon as I can. The file's about 215kB.

Cheers

Roy
