I'm behind on my mail, but I think some interesting information has been 
exchanged on this thread.  I agree with Joe that responsible breeders are 
generally ignoring the fads that overtake dog showing from time to time, 
and I think Pyrs are generally getting better.

There are certainly judges who don't know or follow the standard, but I 
think, on balance, judging is relatively fair and good dogs generally end 
up champions.  I remember one occasion when someone had just told me this 
particular judge never picks marked dogs when we turned to the ring to 
find he had picked a heavily marked dog BOB.
