Chrissy,  In truth, Kendra has not delt with many males who are not
decent enough guys.  We do in fact have a pretty good relationship,
Kendra is a very smart, gutsy type young woman, who easily can and will
put males in their place, and has always been raised to not dumb herself
down to humor any male ego.  But as you mature, and as your daughter gets
older, you will find that your kids will sometimes do the occasional
thing that surprises you, in spite of what you have taught them.  Maybe
why in this case this whole thing has surprised me so much.  Just as I am
upset by her not standing up for the dogs.  But I will, just bet, that
you didn't always do what your folks might have wished you would.  Kendra
will be 21 in Jan.  In all other respects I find her to be what most
Mothers would truly envy in a daughter.  Hopefully she will come to see
this young man for what he really is, she does have a lot of nice fellows
as good friends, and I hope that the thrill of this fellow will wear off
quickly.  Please understand that I would be disappointed if she was
married and had a child at 21 too, but that is no reflection on you, your
life, or values.  In either case everyone must always be careful of what
they say, least the thing they don't want or expect comes to pass.
