I hope you hauled out and hit him back!  

Our guys, once they've seen the visitor, that's about it.  If the visitor 
doesn't pose a threat, or doesn't have food, there's no point on hanging 
about.  Wonder what it is about this guy -- aftershave?  Have your guys been 
watching too many police programmes, and they now think they're sniffer dogs 
:-)
