The vet did recommend a tick collar if I continued to apply the Frontline
every three months, instead of every month.  And you're right ... that thing
cost about $15.  My primary concern is bombarding my dogs with pesticides.
One has really bad ears and the other really bad skin.  It's hard to say
what's the lesser of two evils: Advantage every three months + tick collar,
or Advantage every month.

As for the garlic oil, I'm sure I read somewhere that both garlic and onions
are bad for dogs as they prevent the absorption of some vital element.  Does
anyone know have more info on that?
