ouch!! i bet she's hurtin' at 160lbs....has to be alot of fat.  my male is
(too) huge and he's not quite that much (i say that but i haven't weighed
him in forever-he looks about 180 w/all that hair! lol!).  that's not good
for her joints, hips and shoulders either.

lets see what i can offer ya.....go for neutering.  it will make him a
better pet all the way around, and both of you will enjoy each other more.
in any of my three males, i never had anything backlash (sep anx) at me for
them losing their "parts".  just made them lazier.   i used to say that
tatonka was bad enough to move before....now it takes a freight train to get
him out of the way so you can open the door!  have to check him sometimes to
make sure he's breathing! lol!!

i wouldn't worry about him fluxuating.....neutering will help put the weight
on him w/o doubt.  if he's out running around and playing, that will
increase his metabolism, too.
