Lene:  I think Barb's thought about the hormones is good.  My dog was
spayed at the end of her heat cycle too.  The reason was a big male dog
was literally climbing our 6 foot fence and jumping down into the yard,
hiding, waiting for her to be let out to potty.  The vet at the time
said it was okay to spay her then but it was not.  Inga
