Re: [pyrnet] Warning Mulch and Dogs?

Thanks, Barb. The warning was new to me.I use bark out of my woods
anyway,so it doesn't have much application to what I do here.
I cut sixty trees from my woods last year and made logs of them.
They were too close to another, beginning to rot, or
lightening-struck. The bark this year was beginning to let go of the
wood and I pulled off slabs as big as a refrigerator
with no trouble. As firewood, the trees will only be good this
winter. They will still burn next year, but will have lost a lot of
their thermal quality. I can't begin to use that much wood, so I
guess I will have to build a bigger place so I can burn more wood.
Firewood here is about $25 a pickup truck load, which is somewhere
around a rick. But it will be higher this winter, because all the
other fuels have gone up in price.
