[pyrnet] Re: Luxating patellas

Our Pyr had the procedure done when she was about 1-1 1/2. She's now 5
1/2. Cost $1200. I don't remember how long it took for the hair on her
leg to grow back. She wasn't a happy camper during recovery with her
big pink cast and Elizabethan collar (big enough to pick up signals
from outer space). As far as I can tell, it being 4 years ago. I see no
negative effects from the procedure although as she gets older, if she
has arthritis problems, I'd suspect that that knee will be the first.
She does jumps and other actives today. It didn't slow her down. (Wait!
Does THAT sound like an oxymoron or what?)
Good luck.
