[WW] PBEM offer: Into the desert

Achtung!

Preparing a campaign for my local group, I was wondering whether to
offer this to you...

Would you be interested in playing out a PBEM campaign as axis
soldiers in the Afrikakorps?

There'd enough space for up to 10 players (and it would be open for
more later on - this way there is no limit to it ;-)).

Being challenged timewise, I'd have to dish out some Co-GM jobs:

1. "Chronicler" - Sometimes it's hard to remember where one's at when
the lead starts flying. I would like somebody to keep track of what's
happening, edit it and put it up on a website (I could do that last
thing, too).

2. "Mailing List Manager" - Somebody would have to open up and
administrate the mailing list for the game - preferably one where
applicants would have to mail the manager to apply. I would like to
monitor who is lurking, eventually.

3. "Rules consultant" - I tend to be more free form when GMing and I
would like one of the players to be able to answer my questions as to
the rules. Be my conscience, in case I grow inconsistent ;-).

Now every player would have to flesh out 1 or 2 characters with the
following information:

* background (job, region, friends, family)
* special abilities
* service specialty (we'll initially play infantry, but there is room
  for your imagination ;-)).
* goals
* physical description (including "meta"-descriptions like "he moves
  elegantly like a cat)
* anything other you can think of (surprise me ;-))
* NO stats yet.

This will rather be roleplaying than rollplaying, with turns being
played Tue and Fri (or thereabout). This will be more loosely handled
in non-combat situations and tighten up when the going gets rough.
People who cannot take turns in combat will be played as NPCs, e.g. by
the "rules consultant".

The game will start with the unit being assembled near an yet
undisclosed north african port in the summer of 1941 ;-). From there
on you will be able to change the course of history!

Any volunteers?

Weggetreten.
