So, to follow up, the message now will arrive like this:

Werewolf Board 2 msg06-050 Chat from incyr **
Werewolf Board 2 msg06-051 Vote from incyr **

So they're sortable in order in a non-threading mail reader.  If you reply to a board and leave the subject as

Werewolf Board 2 msg06-050 Chat <userid> <password>

the server will drop the "msg" numbering and move "chat" over to "board" and process.

By the way, I had to leave of the parentheses and change the period to a dash as Richard's email processor was stripping them anyway.
